Over the year, global Internet traffic grew by 25 %

Thanks to the global Starlink satellite system deployed by SpaceX, fast Internet has appeared in regions that were not previously serviced. The traffic of the provider itself has tripled compared to last year.
Two thirds of mobile traffic is generated by Android devices. Bangladesh and Papua New Guinea are the leaders in this indicator, and mainly due to inexpensive devices. Up to 70% of mobile traffic in Denmark, Australia and Japan comes from the Apple iPhone.
A fifth of the total traffic is served by the latest HTTP/3 protocol or QUIC, which is most common in Nepal, Malaysia, Thailand and Sri Lanka.
The highest quality Internet turned out to be in Iceland, where there is an extensive fiber-optic network.
In turn, Google became the world's largest provider of general-purpose services, and OpenAI turned out to be the largest provider of generative artificial intelligence services.
