The transport and communications complex of Turkmenistan records strong growth dynamics
The Air Transport Agency - "Türkmenhowaýollary" - is leading among the sectors of the transport and communications complex in increasing the volume of services provided this year. During the period from January to November, the civil aviation industry recorded a growth rate of 199% compared to the same period last year.
During the same period, the road transport agency of Turkmenistan - "Türkmenawtoulaglary" - showed a growth rate of 117%, the country's railways - "Türkmendemirýollary" - recorded a growth rate of 106.5%, and the water transport sector - "Türkmendeňizderýaýollary" - 105.2 %.
In January-November, cargo transportation by all types of transport in the country increased by 3.9%, and passenger transportation by 5.1%.
Communication operators have good results: according to the Türkmenaragatnaşyk agency, the growth rate of the volume of services provided to the population is 111.5%.
Director General of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers, Mammetkhan Chakyev, reported on the results of the activities of institutions in the supervised sphere for eleven months of this year at a government meeting on Friday, December 8.
He noted that during the reporting period, the growth rate for the execution of work and the provision of services in general in the transport and communications complex amounted to 121.3%.
