The promotion of bilateral agreements was discussed by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Tangryguly Atahalliev and President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon. The meeting took place on Tuesday in Dushanbe, where a regular meeting of the Intergovernmental Tajik-Turkmen Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation was being held these days.

Emomali Rahmon noted the fruitful results of the state visit of Turkmenistan President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to Tajikistan in May of this year and emphasized that the Tajik side had adopted a comprehensive action plan for the implementation of the agreements reached during this visit.

The Tajik leader expressed hope that the activities of the Intergovernmental Tajik- Turkmen Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation will help promote the entire range of Tajik-Turkmen relations.
