According to the international research and consulting company International Data Corporation (IDC), the Chinese company Transsion may become the fourth largest smartphone manufacturer in the world.

Thus, according to the results of the third quarter, the company took 8.6% of the global market, slightly behind only the manufacturer Oppo, which ranks fourth (8.9%).

According to a review by one of Japan's largest media corporations, Nikkei Asia, since the beginning of this year, Transsion's revenue has grown by 20% year-on-year to $5.8 billion, and its net profit has increased by 70%.

Transsion is a young player in the smartphone market. It was founded in 2006 in a large city in the southeast of China, Shenzhen. It has been operating under the current name since 2013.

Transsion sells mobile phones of the Tecno, Itel and Infinix brands in Africa and South Asia. The company also manages the Carlcare support service.
