Start-up company Humane AI has developed an interesting device called Ai Pin, which is being considered as a replacement for smartphones.

This is a compact gadget that is a square block with rounded edges. It attaches to clothing or any other surface using a magnet and allows interaction through voice commands. Its dimensions are 47.50 x 44.50 x 8.25-14.98 mm, and its weight is 34.2 grams. In turn, the connected Battery booster will add another 20 grams to the device.

The Ai Pin is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC and has 4GB RAM and 32GB storage.

Ai Pin collects data using a built-in camera. So, the main camera has a resolution of 13 megapixels. Information is projected directly onto the user's palm or other surface with a resolution of 720p. The device supports LTE and 3G voice calls, Wi-Fi (802.11ac), Bluetooth 5.1 and GPS/GLONASS.

In addition, Ai Pin is equipped with a microphone, depth and motion sensors. The gadget has a speaker and the ability to connect headphones via Bluetooth. The device works completely independently and does not require connection to a smartphone.

The new product also uses large artificial intelligence models, including ChatGPT. Ai Pin is connected to AI models using special AI Mic software. The device's operating system, called CosmOS, will automatically redirect user requests to the appropriate AI models instead of installing a large number of applications.

We are proud to finally present what we and the Humane team have been working on for the past four years. For us, Ai Pin is just the beginning,” the company noted.

The Humane Ai Pin will be available for order on November 16th in the US.
