Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov reported to the President of Turkmenistan on the progress of preparations for the visit to the Republic of Turkey, which will take place on October 25-26.
The status of the upcoming visit is official, the results of which, according to political scientists, will give additional impetus to the further development of bilateral relations.
Turkey, being the first country to officially establish diplomatic relations with the independent Turkmen state, occupies the position of one of its leading partners.
Both fraternal peoples have common ethnic and linguistic roots, spiritual values and history. At the present stage, Turkmen-Turkish relations are successfully developing in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian areas.
Throughout recent history, the interaction between the two countries has been characterized by sustained diplomatic activity, mutual respect and confidential personal contacts between their leaders. The legal framework of Turkmen-Turkish relations is regularly updated with new documents covering various levels of relations.
During a government meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed the head of the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan to carefully prepare the visit of the government delegation to the Republic of Turkey.
