 The centenary of Rasul Gamzatov will be celebrated in Ashgabat

The Russian House in Ashgabat announces an event dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Dagestan poet Rasul Gamzatov, whose poems are familiar to many poetry lovers.

The event will take place on September 29 at 18:00 at the address: Ashgabat, S. Turkmenbashi Shayoly, no. 11.

The event will be dedicated to the life and work of Rasul Gamzatov, who was born on September 8, 1923 in the Dagestan village of Tsada. His works have now been translated into more than 80 languages and are included in the golden fund of world literature. Many of Rasul Gamzatov’s poems have become famous songs, the most popular of which is “Cranes”. The poet's anniversary is widely celebrated not only in Russia, but throughout the world.
