Turkmenistan and Hungary have agreed to cross-open embassies in their countries

An agreement on the cross-opening of embassies in their countries has been reached between Turkmenistan and Hungary. This step follows Hungary's commitment to open diplomatic missions in all member states of the Organization of Turkic States, said Zoltan Kovacs, Hungarian Secretary of State for International Relations.

As Hungary continues to deepen diplomatic cooperation with the Turkic world, this step marks an important milestone in its foreign policy agenda, the Hungarian official said.

Meanwhile, it opens up new opportunities for bilateral cooperation, promotion of cultural exchange and strengthening of economic partnership between the two Turkmenistan and Hungary.

Recall that in August of this year, Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Economic Relations Peter Szijjarto said that Budapest and Ashgabat had concluded a political agreement on gas supplies from Turkmenistan to Hungary and negotiations between companies are next.
