The forum "Commonwealth of Fashion" invites industry professionals from the CIS to St. Petersburg again
The second International forum "Commonwealth of Fashion" will be held in St. Petersburg on November 9-10, 2023 at the Tauride Palace - the headquarters of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the CIS member States.
The event will bring together representatives of the light industry and fashion industry of the Commonwealth countries, relevant ministries and departments, educational institutions of the CIS countries on one platform.
Last year, Turkmenistan became one of the participants of the forum and presented an exclusive collection based on the traditional decor of national clothes.
This year, the forum is doubling its scale: the duration of the event has been increased to two days, the business program will include 20 round tables, production companies will be presented at the exposition, and collections of famous designers from the Commonwealth countries will be presented at two fashion shows. The plenary session and round tables of the forum will be devoted to the key tracks of the industry: economics, production, design, personnel, cultural traditions.
The International Forum "Commonwealth of Fashion" was held for the first time on October 19, 2022. About 700 people took part in it – representatives of light industry and fashion industry, relevant ministries and business associations, educational institutions and the creative sector from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
The forum had practical results: a number of agreements were signed at the event and at its conclusion, designers from the Commonwealth countries are now more widely represented in the retail areas of St. Petersburg.
The event is organized by the IPA CIS with the support of the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, as well as the Eurasian Women's Forum.
