BelTA: The countdown button to the start of the II CIS Games was pressed in Minsk
A symbolic button was pressed at the Sports Palace in Minsk, which started the countdown 30 days before the start of the II CIS Games. This is reported by BelTA.
The symbolic button was pressed by famous athletes of Belarus. Together with the leadership of the Ministry of Sports and Tourism of the Republic, athletes rode bicycles from four sports facilities in Minsk to the Sports Palace.
In addition, medals, sports uniforms and the mascot of the competition, the Trotter, were presented at the Minsk City Hall. The participants of the event were also presented with a guest card of the II Games of the CIS countries, the owners of which will have access to the best museums, hotels, shops and other institutions. Owners of such a plastic card will receive discounts.
The II Games of the CIS countries will be held from August 4 to 14 in 11 cities of Belarus. The competition will bring together over 4 thousand athletes not only from the CIS countries, but also from other countries.
