For the first time, the "Voice of Asia" sounded over the mountains of Alma-Ata in 1990. For 15 years, the festival has been not only one of the most significant cultural events of the Eurasian continent, but also a symbol of the musical life of the region, a center of attraction for talents. In 1994, the Voice of Asia festival received a special award from the Cannes Festival of World Show Business, in 1998, the International Federation of Festival Organizers awarded it the title of the best festival in the world.

Forbes.kz From July 28 to July 30, the Voice of Asia Festival will return to the stage of the Medeu high-altitude skating rink. Once upon a time, the best artists of the Soviet Union and world pop stars gathered at this unique venue: Patricia Kaas, Toto Kutugno, Boney M, Alla Pugacheva, Sofia Rotaru, Rosa Rymbaeva, Valery Leontiev, VIE Yalla, A-Studio group and many others, including artists from Turkmenistan.

On the first day, representatives of the Kazakh musical culture will take to the stage of the Voice of Asia 2.0 festival, on the second day, the American hip-hop group The Black Eyed Peas will perform a solo concert. The third day will be dedicated to music legends - artists who previously performed in the "Voices of Asia" programs. And the Swedish band Secret Service will be the headliner of this evening, completing a grand musical show.

The organizers hope that the revived festival in the near future will become a noticeable phenomenon not only in Kazakhstan, but also throughout the region, attracting, as before, artists from near and far abroad. There is also an idea to hold an international competition "Voice of Asia. Children".

The sponsor of the revival of the festival is the leading bank of Kazakhstan - Halyk Bank, which in 2023 will celebrate its hundredth birthday and in honor of this event holds a large-scale action "100 good deeds", implementing social, cultural projects and socially significant initiatives throughout the country.
