Oriented on making people closer

A dialogue conference on the theme "The world glory of Magtymguly" was held on Saturday in the Bukhara region of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The forum dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great thinker and classic poet of the East, Magtymguly Pyragy, gathered representatives of the two countries on the Uzbek platform, the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan says.

The meeting was attended by Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Uzbekistan Yazguly Mamedov, Executive Secretary of the National Commission of Turkmenistan for UNESCO Chynar Rustemova, heads of the Turkmen Cultural Center, faculty and students of Turkmen higher educational institutions, representatives of the Turkmen diaspora living in the Bukhara region, as well as journalists.

Among the delegates of the conference was Botir Zaripov, the governor of the Bukhara region. In his speech, he noted that interstate cooperation based on mutual friendship and good-neighborly relations has reached a qualitatively new level today, thanks to the efforts of the heads of the two states.

The participants of the meeting said that the creative heritage of the poet and master of the word Magtymguly, based on high humanistic traditions, is an invaluable literary heritage of the Turkic-speaking peoples and has received worldwide recognition. The delegates also discussed modern scientific research on the work of the Turkmen poet.

During the event, the participants visited the memorial complex "Old Town" in Bukhara, Gogeldash Madrasah, where Magtymguly Pyragy received his education, also got acquainted with the places where he lived and studied.
