Turkmenistan and UNESCO are interested in cooperation in the field of information technology
10.06.2023 | 17:47 |Strengthening cooperation in the field of information technologies in the field of education was discussed on Friday during a meeting between Maksat Charyev, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to UNESCO and Tao Zhan, Director of the UNESCO Institute of Information Technologies in Education.
According to the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry, the parties discussed the importance of including information technologies in educational programs and the need to develop comprehensive digital literacy projects.
The Ambassador shared the initiatives and efforts of the country to promote digital education and expressed interest in the expertise and support of UNESCO in further promoting these initiatives.
Director Tao Zhan, in turn, highly appreciated Turkmenistan's desire to expand educational opportunities with the help of technology and noted UNESCO's commitment to the development of global partnership. In particular, he offered technical assistance, capacity-building and knowledge exchange to facilitate the implementation of effective digital education strategies in Turkmenistan, the report says.
