Oriented on making people closer

The third day of the "Week of Turkmen Composers" was held with the participation of artists of the Turkmen State Puppet Theater. The mobile brigade arrived with their "stage partners" - dolls of various kinds. Their "passage" towards the small hall of TNC immediately attracted the attention of students and teachers who were in the corridors of the conservatory, and therefore all the chairs in the hall were quickly filled with those who wanted to watch the performance of the theater artists. The meeting with them promised to be fascinating. Everyone was interested to learn about the theatrical backstage, about the "kitchen", and about the secret hiding behind the screen. And on this day, all this was demonstrated to the audience.

The artists told about the history of the creation of the puppet theater, its luminaries and new names. The audience was also shown different types of dolls. It turned out that this is a whole science and there is even a classification of them. Dolls are divided into riding ones, these are those that are taller than the actor on stage (and he himself stands invisible behind a screen) - with a cane, gloves, shadow. And there are also grassroots dolls (the actor controls it from above) - two-sided, puppets, tablet.

As the artists themselves told, sometimes you can hear the opinion that instead of going to a puppet theater, it's better to sit at home and watch cartoons. But the main advantage of the puppet theater is the same 3D effect that the audience gets when they come to the performance - as if they were inside a cartoon. The artists illustrated their stories with scenes from performances. Moreover, fragments were selected that are specifically related to the world of music. Dolls-musicians played instruments, sang, danced…

The director of the theater G. Almammedov and actors - Honored Artists of Turkmenistan A.Kakabayev, M. Hudayberdiev, G. Jumayeva, A. Meredova and M. Haydarov enthusiastically and humorously talked about their profession. And the puppeteers also said that a puppet theater, like any other, cannot exist without music. The songs performed by the characters of the performances, musical accompaniment and screensavers are all the result of the joint work of the composer and the creative team of the theater. They also said that it would be great if the meetings of theater groups with Turkmen composers would become regular, and their result would be new interesting musical performances. A lot of music for puppet shows was written at the time by composers A.Agajikov, A.Charyyev, and of modern composers D.Hojayev.

After the meeting, the audience approached the artists, picked up the dolls, tried to control them, took pictures with them and with the puppeteers, asked questions about how the artists manage to talk in different voices.

And currently, an equally fascinating event was taking place in the foyer of the conservatory - an exhibition of photographs by the battle artist, a famous photographer, one of the top 150 best photographers of the planet Ahmed Halliyev.

His photographic works, surprisingly similar to paintings, made a great impression. Among them are portraits of prominent figures of Turkmen culture, as well as still life’s and landscapes. Everyone liked the photos so much that after the exhibition was completed, there were even requests from visitors not to curtail it, because "they haven't had time to see enough".
