Mahym Atakova is a young artist, a student of the State Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan, better known to Orient readers as the author of the stunning painting "A Fabulous Dream" received two news at once the other day: the first – the commission of the international exhibition Drawing paper show-2023 (Liverpool, England) selected one of Mahym's paintings to participate in the international virtual expositions. I will tell you about it later.

In addition, the second news to start with is that a Turkmen student has been awarded membership in the international community Plogix Gallery. The art gallery is located in London and brings together the best contemporary artists from around the world.

This news came as a surprise to Mahym herself, who received a letter saying that her works presented on the instragram page were seen by Plogix Gallery experts and sent to the evaluation commission of the organization, which includes famous artists and collectors of modernity. They made a "verdict" - the paintings of a young artist from Turkmenistan are amazing and received 87 points out of 100 possible, giving the author a "membership card" to the caste of the best brush masters from different countries.

Plogix Gallery is an art gallery and art group founded in 2018. It has a huge network of enthusiasts, professionals and art lovers who share works of art, communicate with art collectors and organize a series of virtual vernissages around the world. Plogix members can exhibit their works in each monthly exhibition, which are viewed online by hundreds of thousands of visitors and buyers.

Nevertheless, the Liverpool Biennial Drawing paper show will open on June 21 at Bridewell Studio and will run until August 13. Among the many works of Mahym, the choice of the organizers of the exhibition again fell on the "Fairy Dream", which managed to conquer both local and international expositions held in different countries of the world. However, a reproduction of the canvas will be exhibited in Liverpool. The painting itself "left" for America – it was acquired by an amateur and connoisseur of painting and now the "Fairy Dream" is kept in a private collection in the states.

Another work by Mahym Atakova, "Best Friends", was exhibited at another international online vernissage held in the Canadian city of Ontario from January to March this year. The canvas with the image of a girl and Alabai puppies, "rolls over" with its cuteness, as it is now customary to say, and radiates kindness, warmth and endless love. The plot of the painting fully reveals the name of the exhibition Happiness, which means "Happiness" in translation. The geography of the participants is very diverse - artists from America, Hungary, Great Britain, Hong Kong, Canada, China, Mexico, Poland, Romania, the Czech Republic, and Ethiopia presented their best works in the gallery. About 140 countries of the world.

These days Mahym received not only good news, but also an award for participation in the international competition of artists "Colors of Ecology". The creative competition was held in Russia in 2022. The organizers highly appreciated Mahym's paintings and awarded her with memorable gifts – the winner received by mail books by Russian authors, including those signed by the famous traveler Fyodor Konyukhov.

This victory added to the solid "champion list" of the young artist. At the age of 25, she already has a well-formed and recognizable style, and she is a diploma winner and laureate of many international and local competitions for artists.

In the past, a pupil of Mary Art School, and now a 3rd-year student of the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Turkmen Academy of Arts, Mahym Atakova, through her incredible paintings, "tells" about Turkmenistan, its inhabitants, nature and animals at international exhibitions that take place in different parts of the world. Her canvases convey picturesque moments and real emotions from the lives of ordinary people – their joy and sadness, the hustle and bustle of work, the children playing in the courtyard of a rural house, the work of women baking bread in a tandoor or a peacefully dozing grandmother under the warm rays of the sun. The author notices every nuance in the mood of his characters, the artist's eye does not miss a single detail, from which the beauty of the surrounding world is "assembled" like a mosaic.

By the way, Orient readers will be the first to see two new paintings by the young artist - "Letter" - the first snapshot of the material and "Portrait of Leyli", which have not yet been exhibited, as well as recall other colorful and colorful works by Mahym, in which she skillfully combines the aesthetics of oriental art with modern trends.
