The largest Easter egg in the world has been erected in the Brazilian city of Pomerodi, Santa Catarina state, according to the website of the Guinness Book of Records.
Locals decorated it for Easter, believing that the temporary attraction would attract tourists to the annual Osterfest festival, one of the largest Easter holidays in Latin America.
The height of the egg reaches 16.72 meters, and its diameter is 10.88 meters. To fix its dimensions, I had to use a crane.
The city of Pomerodi held the record for the largest Easter egg in the world from 2019 to 2022, but last year the championship went to the Spanish amusement park "Port Aventura". But now the Brazilians have regained the achievement.
The website of the Guinness Book of Records reports that Pomerodi is the city in Brazil where most Germans live. Most of its inhabitants are descendants of German immigrants who speak German and Portuguese.
