Oleg Kononenko fulfilled the schoolboy’s cosmic desire

Not all wishes come true quickly, sometimes it takes time for them to come true. Just recently, in March, Hero of Turkmenistan and Russia, commander of the Roscosmos cosmonaut corps, Oleg Kononenko, fulfilled the wish of Artem Saykovsky, a schoolboy from the city of Korolev. The well-known charitable event "Christmas Tree of Desires" helped in this.

The boy dreamed of getting acquainted with the activities of the cosmonaut training center and, of course, talking with them. Oleg Dmitrievich told Artyom in detail and clearly all the most interesting things, showed the simulators.

Artem studies at the Quantorium children's technopark of the Technological University in Korolev. He, as they say, suffers from space. A few years ago, he became a finalist of the International Star Relay Competition. The jury highly appreciated his work "The name of Yuri Alekseevich Gagarin in the history of my family." Then the guy became a member of the intensive engineering educational program "Space Technologies".

“The topic that Artyom's team was working on was proposed by specialists from the Energia Rocket and Space Corporation. Young engineers solved the problem of space debris and meteor danger in near-Earth space. The team has developed and designed a model of a device that automatically finds meteors and conducts their spectral analysis remotely,” the cosmonaut training center noted.

Due to the disease, Artem cannot lead a very active lifestyle and travel long distances from home. A trip from Korolev to Star City, meeting with an astronaut and an excursion is a realized dream and a real achievement for the boy. Space became closer to him. Many other guys are counting on the same gift, making similar wishes for a good action.
