On February 15, a solemn ceremony of presenting a high award - a cash prize in the amount of 1 million US dollars - to the Magtymguly etrap of the Balkan velayat, which became the best etrap of the country in 2022, was held at the Magtymguly Fragi etrap museum.

According to the order signed by the Respected President, the Makhtumkuli etrap of the Balkan velayat was declared the winner in Turkmenistan, which at the end of 2022 achieved the highest results in all indicators in the social, economic and cultural spheres among the etraps of the velayats and cities with the rights of etraps, as well as etraps of the city of Ashgabat, and The khyakimlik of Magtymguly etrap was awarded a cash prize in the amount of 1 million US dollars. This event multiplied the joy of all the inhabitants of the region. On the occasion of a significant event, an award ceremony was held in the etrasp center, which was supplemented by festive events.

The solemn meeting was attended by leaders and representatives of the National Trade Union Center, velayat and etrap khyakimliks, public organizations, deputies of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, tenants, advanced workers from various institutions and enterprises, rural workers, respected elders. The participants of the solemn event became spectators of musical and song performances deployed on the square in front of the Magtymguly Fragi Museum. The culmination of the celebration was the performance of the kushtdepdi dance, included in the UNESCO Intangible Heritage List.

Then the participants of the celebration got acquainted with the large-scale exhibition of agricultural products and arts and crafts organized here. The event was accompanied by interesting sports competitions, demonstration performances in various sports, as well as a national goresh competition.

Further, the participants of the celebration became spectators of the festive events organized at the Magtymguly Fragi Museum. There was also an exhibition of various books and printed materials. Then, a solemn meeting was held in the conference hall of the Magtymguly Fragi Museum, during which a welcoming Address of the Respected President, sent to all residents of the Magtymguly etrap, was read. Further, in accordance with the order signed by the Respected President, a solemn presentation of a cash award in the amount of 1 million US dollars took place.

During the celebration, on behalf of all the inhabitants of the etrap, sincere gratitude was expressed to the Respected President for the tireless concern for improving the well-being of the people, great attention aimed at strengthening the economic power of the country, and the formation of a modern socio-economic infrastructure in the velayats. Today, in accordance with the Program for the socio-economic development of the country in 2019-2025 and the National Rural Program, the Magtymguly etrap has become indicative of the successful implementation of the planned work. The workers of the Makhtumkudi etrap, known since ancient times for its traditions, farming experience, incomparable fruits, including the famous Sumbar pomegranates, are increasing the production of various types of agricultural and other products. From year to year, the masters of high yields of Magtymguly etrap are among the first to successfully fulfill their contractual obligations to deliver grain and cotton to the state.

At the end of the meeting, the participants adopted an Appeal to the Respected President. The event continued with modern musical and song performances.
