Turkmenistan has joined the protocol on the e-CMR

Turkmenistan has joined the Additional Protocol to the UN Convention on the Contract for the International Carriage of Goods by Road concerning the Electronic Consignment Note (e-CMR). This is reported by the official website of the International Road Transport Union (IRU).

Turkmenistan's accession to the e-CMR protocol has further increased the country's importance as a key transit artery connecting east and west, north and south, the source writes. In the future, this will help to effectively manage the growing flow of goods and transit along changing routes.

Joining the protocol will also contribute to the digitalization of cargo transportation, increase transparency and security of the entire logistics chain.

By reducing data processing costs, e-CMR will provide logistics companies with more accurate data for tracking shipments with real-time access to information about the receipt and delivery of goods.
