For the first time in the history of the Asian Games, China has presented an interactive platform for digital torchbearers of the Asian Games 2022, which will be held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province from September 23 to October 8, 2023. This is reported by China Daily.

With the help of the platform, everyone will be able to create their own avatar- a torchbearer who will carry a virtual torch with the fire of the Asian Games 2022. At the moment, over two hundred thousand people have already created their digital images using the Smart Hangzhou 2022 application through the Alipay system.

The official presentation of the platform of the torchbearers of the 19th Asian Games took place at the countdown ceremony 300 days before the start of the competition.

In his video message to the participants of the ceremony, the Director General of the Olympic Council of Asia Hussein Al-Musallam noted that the first digital platform of this kind is designed to unite sports fans around the world and is the result of the efforts of the organizers to hold the "smart" Asian Games.

In turn, Zhang Ge, Deputy Director of the Department of Radio, Television and Information Technology of the Organizing Committee of the Asian Games in Hangzhou, assured that the committee will continue to improve the interactive capabilities of the digital platform, providing sports fans with a unique experience.
