On Monday, the President Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with the Governor of the Chelyabinsk Region of the Russian Federation Alexey Texler, who arrived in Ashgabat on a visit as the head of the delegation of the Southern Ural.

During the meeting, it was said that Turkmenistan has embarked on industrialization and diversification of the economy, the development of the processing industry. In this regard, the Turkmen leader noted the possibilities of cooperation in the design and construction of metallurgical and machine-building plants. This was reported in the evening news of the Turkmen television.

The Head of Turkmenistan and the governor of the Russian region also discussed ways to expand trade turnover. Turkmenistan, in particular, is ready to supply oil and gas industry products, textiles and carpets, agricultural goods to the Chelyabinsk region.

Attention was paid to humanitarian cooperation – contacts in the field of culture, education and science, sports. In this context, the performance of the Ural dance ensemble of the Chelyabinsk Philharmonic in Ashgabat was noted.

By the way, the symbol of Chelyabinsk and the Chelyabinsk region is a camel – it is depicted on the emblem and the flag of the city and the region.
