Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan will accelerate the provision of consular services through a new media platform

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan plans to create a new media platform through which citizens of the country will be able to quickly access consular services and news from the diplomatic service.

The platform will be interfaced with mobile devices and will be able to work via cellular communication, Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov said at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on Saturday, the official Turkmen press writes today.

To expand and standardize the country's electronic communication system, it was proposed to create an autonomous National Digital Network. To develop the digital diplomacy of Turkmenistan, it is also planned to intensify the activities of the domestic diplomatic service in the international information space.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan will establish systematic contacts with major international media companies for the consistent dissemination of information about the country on the Internet.

At the same time, the Ministry is working on the creation of a specialized digital library, which will collect and systematize resolutions and other documents adopted within the framework of the UN and other international organizations, and a digital museum of the diplomatic service of Turkmenistan will also be created.
