Preparation for the XI meeting of the Joint Turkmen-Tajik Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical cooperation was the topic of an online meeting of representatives of ministries and departments of the two countries held at the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan.

The key issue for discussion was the preparation of the draft protocol of the upcoming meeting, which during the event it was decided to hold in Ashgabat in the fourth quarter of this year.

The parties stressed the need to improve the mechanisms of export-import operations, increase the volume of mutual trade in goods and services, as well as improve conditions for further expansion of trade, economic and investment cooperation.

They also discussed the implementation of agreements previously reached during the tenth meeting of the intergovernmental commission in July 2021 in the city of Dushanbe.
