Ashgabat SCCMCH will receive $400 thousand from the Charity Fund for the treatment of children
19.05.2022 | 19:21 |For the treatment of children in the Ashgabat Scientific and Clinical Center for Maternal and Child Health, $400 thousand will be allocated from the Charity Fund to Help Children in Need of Guardianship.
This was stated on Wednesday by the head of the upper house of the Turkmen parliament Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov during a visit to this medical institution.
During the visit, it was noted that at the moment 220 children in the country need heart surgery. The equipment available at SCCMCH allows for complex operations, including minimally invasive endovascular interventions.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov also visited the department of therapy of diseases of the musculoskeletal system. To date, 100 children in Turkmenistan need medical care in this profile.
In the same place, the head of the People's Council, the head of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry Nurmukhammad Amannepesov, presented a proposal for the construction of another 400–bed building in the sanatorium "Archman" and reported that a multidisciplinary clinic for 450 beds and an oncological dispensary for 150 beds are ready to open in the administrative center of the northern region – the city of Dashoguz.
It was also reported that the Avaza tourist zone and other recreational institutions of the country are fully ready for the summer season, where special commissions have been established to ensure anti-epidemic measures.
