Environmental and social activities are an integral part of the company's work.

Schlumberger has many initiatives to reduce the negative impact on the environment: these are programs to reduce energy consumption, targeted water saving, and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. All this helps the company to save a significant amount of natural and financial resources.

Schlumberger's divisions use energy-saving technologies everywhere. Thus, for the first time in Turkmenistan, a unique energy saving program was implemented at one of the company's facilities – solar panels commissioned at the end of last year.

Schlumberger has launched a program for switching to energy-efficient lighting, because replacing conventional lamps with LED allows you to feel not only economic, but also environmental benefits. To date, the street lighting at the company's facilities has been completely replaced, and the replacement of lamps in office and industrial premises continues.

Schlumberger implements separate waste collection and recycling at its facilities. Paper waste is regularly sent for recycling, which is exchanged for the products of the processing enterprise, scrap metal is collected and handed over for its further processing and reuse.

At the beginning of this year, dozens of Schlumberger employees together with their families took part in planting seedlings of fruit and coniferous trees in Balkanabat.

In addition, environmental actions were held on May 7 and 8 in the town of Manysh near Ashgabat, as well as in the cities of Balkanabat and Khazar. More than 100 employees of the company and their families, including children, joined the garbage collection, who received an example of caring for the environment. During these two days, hundreds of kilograms of waste were collected and removed: plastic, paper, metal, rubber, etc.
