In Huangshan, representatives of Turkmenistan will also take part in the Dialogue "Neighbors of Afghanistan + Afghanistan".

China will host the third meeting of the foreign ministers of Afghanistan's neighbors on Wednesday and Thursday, where Beijing will support a new dialogue mechanism that will unite Russia, Pakistan and Iran among other neighbors.

China will host foreign ministers or their representatives from Pakistan, Iran, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, China's foreign ministry said on Monday. Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Interim Government of Afghanistan Amir Khan Muttaki has been invited to the dialogue “Neighbors of Afghanistan + Afghanistan”.

“The situation in Afghanistan is now in a critical transition from chaos to order, and the Afghan people are facing numerous challenges both inside and outside that need to be addressed with more support and help from others,” Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said on Monday.

“By hosting the third meeting of foreign ministers of Afghanistan's neighboring countries, China hopes that neighboring countries will come to a greater consensus on the Afghan issue, discuss ways to jointly stabilize the situation in Afghanistan, support and assist the Afghan people, and share our voice with the rest of the international community as neighbors of Afghanistan.
