The President of Turkmenistan discussed the Dostluk project with the head of Lukoil
The issues of the development of hydrocarbon resources of the Caspian region and the Dostluk project were discussed during the meeting of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov with the head of PJSC Lukoil Vagit Alekperov, the official Turkmen press writes today.
During the meeting, it was stressed that the Memorandum of Understanding signed in January this year between the governments of Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan on joint exploration and development of hydrocarbon resources of the Dostluk field in the Caspian Sea opened up new opportunities for fruitful partnership with interested parties.
The head of Lukoil confirmed the intention of Russian partners to take an active part in projects that are being implemented in Turkmenistan, and noted the favorable conditions created in the country for attracting investments, including through reliable legal framework.
