For the first time in the history of Turkmenistan, population census of the country for 2022 will be held completely in an electronic format, which will raise its accuracy and detailedness.

Chief specialist of the management of population of the State Statistics Committee of Turkmenistan Gozel Mamilieva writes on it in the comment for the official Turkmen press.

To carry out all planned actions according to rules of international complete census of population, the State Statistics Committee has finished census sheets, has entered new blocks of questions.

Questionnaires will contain blocks of questions on sex, date of birth, marital status, and quantity of children, labour status, income sources, characteristics of education and others.

Within the limits of forthcoming actions, the census of available housing of Turkmenistan will be held. The received data will be used in planning and state management of social and economic life of the country.

Türkmenaragatnashyk Agency will provide census staff with tablet computers with special software and electronic census paper for entering of the data.
