Members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan are building more than 175 new high-tech greenhouses throughout the country. The total area of the facilities under construction is 1 thousand 675 hectares.
The construction of such a large number of new greenhouse farms will provide the creation of thousands of new jobs in rural areas, will help to increase the potential of domestic agriculture and increase the export of Turkmen tomatoes that are in demand abroad.
Some of the designated projects have already entered the final stage of implementation. By the new greenhouse season in November-December of this year, it is planned to put into operation new greenhouses for another 100 hectares.
The entrepreneurs expect that by the end of the year, modern greenhouse complexes in Turkmenistan will operate on a total of 600 hectares of land.
The government of Turkmenistan is taking active measures to replace imports of vegetables, fruit and berries. The state supports entrepreneurs with preferential loans, helps in the purchase of the latest equipment for the creation of greenhouses, which makes business in this area especially relevant and attractive.
