Private sector will get the opportunity to privatize more than twenty state owned facilities
12.06.2021 | 19:52 |21 state owned facilities in Turkmenistan will be put up for auction for privatization by the private sector. This was reported by Deputy Prime Minister G. Mushshikov to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov at a Government meeting on Friday.
The proposal for denationalization was prepared on based on the analysis conducted by the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan jointly with ministries, sectoral departments and regional administrations.
The list of facilities proposed for denationalization was also considered in the prescribed manner at a meeting of the Intersectoral Central Commission under the Ministry of Finance and Economy, the Deputy Prime Minister said.
The Head of State emphasized the importance of the phased privatization of state owned facilities in the context of the ongoing strategy for the transition to market relations, and instructed to take measures to carry out the work specified in accordance with the requirements.
The list of state owned facilities to be put up for auction will soon be published in the official press.
