The latest special issue of the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) official magazine - “World Weightlifting” – is completely dedicated to the 2018 IWF World Championships in Ashgabat.
“There is no doubt that on November 1, 2018, a new calendar opened in world weightlifting”, the foreword publication of the special issue, which tells about the most up-to-date sports facilities of the Turkmen capital, informs. It is not by chance that the 2018 World Cup is recognized as one of the best and highly organized championships in history.
“What awaited visitors in Ashgabat eventually amazed and dazzled everyone,” the publication says.
In the Special Edition, the fans of weightlifting can find detailed results of competitions in all weight categories along with colorful photos of the winners of the championships. Readers will be interested to learn the first impressions of the champions who conquered the Ashgabat platform after the performance.
The Edition also includes an interview with the representative of the International Olympic Committee, Hungarian sports diplomat Dániel Gyurta, who arrived in Ashgabat for the Olympic medal award ceremony, organized for three athletes who were later promoted to the rank of Olympic medalists.
In addition, the issue includes an article about the 2018 Summer Youth Olympic Games, which took place in August 2018 in Buenos Aires and which opened up the new names of weightlifters who continued the series of successful performances in Ashgabat.
