Turkmenkhimiya develops complex fertilizer production
19.01.2019 | 16:18 |The Turkmenhim State Concern is holding an international tender to select a contractor for the design and construction of the production of granulated ammonium sulfate - mixed nitrogen-sulfur fertilizer, more efficient and environmentally friendly compared to classic counterparts.
This is the third recent message concerning the establishment of state-owned production of complex fertilizers containing several nutrients for crops. Recently, Turkmenkhimiya’s specialists mastered the production of highly effective sulfur carbamide.
In early January, the concern announced an international tender for the construction of a plant for the production of complex mineral fertilizers, combining various types of them, for example - nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium ( NPK for short, in one pellet.
Mastering the production of complex fertilizers is a new step towards expanding the range of high value-added products. The State Concern Turkmenhimiya has already created the base necessary for the transition to a new stage of development, since the country has already launched the production of key types of mineral fertilizers. This, in turn, opens up new perspectives for foreign partners, who in the near future, in cooperation with the concern, can initiate interesting long-term projects.
It is noteworthy that two of the three types of mixed fertilizers mentioned above are composed of sulfur. Experts note that in Turkmenistan this type of chemical element is widely distributed, and new ways of using it in the agricultural industry will give excellent results.
At the same time, increased production and export of sulfur. So, for January-November 2018, the production of this product increased by 26.3% compared to the same period in 2017. According to the State Statistics Committee of Turkmenistan, the supply of sulfur to foreign countries for 10 months last year increased by 29.8%.
