President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Minister of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Adil Karimli, who arrived in Ashgabat at the head of a delegation to participate in Days of Azerbaijani Culture in Turkmenistan. Karimli conveyed warm greetings from President Ilham Aliyev, emphasizing that Baku attaches strategic importance to deepening the traditional dialogue with fraternal Turkmenistan.
During the conversation, the parties commended the current level of interstate cooperation, which in recent years has reached a qualitatively new stage of development in both trade, economic, political, and diplomatic spheres. Cultural and humanitarian cooperation holds a special place in this architecture, serving as a solid foundation for bringing the two peoples closer together. The interlocutors noted that mutual Days of Culture have become a regular and effective practice: the successful Turkmen art fair held in Azerbaijan last October has found its harmonious continuation in the current reciprocal events.
The head of state warmly welcomed the Azerbaijani artists, noting that a large-scale festival and business program was taking place simultaneously in Ashgabat and the new "smart" city of Arkadag. The President of Turkmenistan emphasized that joint concerts, exhibitions, and academic conferences dedicated to the works of the two countries' great poets and thinkers serve not only as a highlight of the bilateral agenda but also as a reliable platform for long-term academic and creative exchange.
