The fame of the South Korean boy band “BTS”, which in the full translation of the abbreviation sounds like “Bulletproof guys,” is gaining momentum around the world. It did not pass Turkmenistan. As BTS turned out to be the biggest fandom, they rank second in popularity after such a famous British band as the Beatles.
On August 10,11,14, a screening of the BTS documentary “Open Your Soul” took place in one of the cinemas of the Turkmen capital.
This event was a great gift for the numerous Turkmen army of fans of this young team.
The plot of the documentary unfolds on one of the Parisian rooftops, where after a big European tour the group members – 7 guys, share their impressions of the trips. Each of them has a personal success story.
“The creativity of the guys motivates us very much,” young admirers of the boy band from Ashgabat tell, interrupting each other.
A considerable number of teenagers gathered enthusiastically talking to each other about new-found heroes.
“Thanks to their songs, I got acquainted with the culture of an unfamiliar country, and after watching the movie I want to believe in myself, go to my dream,” Maral shares.
After watching the movie, the boys and girls staged a small flash mob. They danced to the songs of the group, sang their favorite songs. And they just shared stories about how they met such exotic foreign music.
According to the fans themselves, there are hundreds of fans of BTS in Turkmenistan. Fans from Mary, Turkmenabat and other regions, who were not able to attend the screening of the film, send their greetings to the lucky Ashgabat.
