The competition for the title of the cleanest school and kindergarten in Ashgabat has started, announced by the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan. It is intended to increase the attention of students and staff of educational institutions to strict adherence to standards of cleanliness and personal hygiene, which is especially important against the backdrop of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic in the world.
Participants will be evaluated according to 15 criteria, including the working conditions of medical centers, compliance with preventive measures against the spread of viral infections, the level of disinfection measures, etc.
The mayor’s office of the city and administrations of the districts of the capital, the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry, and the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Service will facilitate the competition. Representatives of these structures will evaluate the contestants on a ten-point scale.
The competition will be held in two stages – at the district and city levels. The first stage will take place in the first ten days of November, the second – in the last ten days of the same month.
Currently, schools and kindergartens in Turkmenistan have special rules aimed at preventing the spread of viral infections. A distance of 2 meters is set between desks in classrooms. The duration of the lessons is reduced, and during the breaks, wet cleaning with the use of disinfectants is carried out in the classrooms.
Before entering educational institutions, visitors and students are measured body temperature, and their hands are disinfected. It is allowed to enter the territory of educational institutions only with a protective medical mask.
