Since the year 2025 is coming to an end, various products featuring themes of horse, the zodiac animal for 2026 on the Chinese lunar calendar, start to hit the market, which have quickly gained popularity among consumers.

In Nanning City of south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Spring Festival products such as red envelopes, calendars, lanterns and couplets feature traditional festive colors while incorporating modern design elements.

Products bearing auspicious phrases like "Good Fortune Rides In" and "Hold Onto Luck" have become especially popular among young consumers.

"I saw many of those wall calendars or desk calendars featuring themes related to the Year of the Horse. They carry meaningful symbolism and really bring a festive, Lunar New Year atmosphere," said a local resident.

Each year on the Chinese lunar calendar is represented by one of the 12 zodiac animals, which rotate in a repeating cycle: Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog and Pig.
