More than 60 percent of China's autumn grain has been harvested, according to the latest data from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.

In Zhenjiang City in east China's Jiangsu Province, more than 73,000 hectares of rice are ripening. Farmers are taking advantage of favorable weather to carry out mechanized harvesting, combining reaping, threshing, straw shredding and field clearing in one continuous operation.

In Anhui Province, rainfall is forecast to begin on October 15, prompting major grain-producing areas to speed up harvesting and coordinate machinery. As of October 11, more than 3.11 million hectares of autumn grain had been harvested, with progress exceeding 70 percent.

In Tianjin, early-maturing varieties of Xiaozhan rice have begun to ripen. Yields are expected to rise by around 7 percent from last year, averaging more than 8,250 kilograms per hectare.

The peak harvest season is expected in mid-October.

In Heilongjiang Province, nearly 8.15 million hectares of crops had been harvested by October 11, with autumn harvesting past the halfway mark and soybean harvesting more than 80 percent complete.

According to CCTV+, China's autumn harvest is progressing rapidly as farmers make the most of favorable weather conditions.
