Preparations for the Canton Fair are in full swing

Trade has always been a bridge between cultures and an engine of progress. The Canton Fair, held for nearly seven decades, remains a living symbol of China's openness to the world and its readiness to exchange goods, technologies and ideas. Each new season brings not only new products but also new opportunities for cooperation, proving that even in the digital age, face‑to‑face communication between producers and buyers remains invaluable.
The trade event is scheduled for 15 October to 4 November in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, South China. The exhibition area will cover 1.55 million square metres, featuring 75,700 booths across 54 specialised zones. The fair will be held in three phases, each dedicated to different product categories under the themes "advanced manufacturing", "quality home life" and "better living". "Preparation for the fair is going smoothly, and booth applications for the export exhibition have already been submitted. Service robots, smart healthcare solutions, consumer drones, wearable devices, prefabricated houses and other advanced products representing new quality productive forces will debut at the fair," said Ding Shuang, deputy director of the Canton Fair commercial department.
Founded in 1957, the Canton Fair is held twice a year in Guangzhou. It is the longest‑running of China's major international trade events and is often called a barometer of China's foreign trade. Over the years, it has become a vital platform for Chinese exporters and overseas buyers to meet, facilitating trade ties with more than 200 countries and regions. As CCTV+ reports. The upcoming autumn session is expected to attract tens of thousands of participants from around the world and will once again reaffirm the Canton Fair's status as a key event on the global business calendar.
