On Sunday, Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari visited Sany Heavy Industry in Changsha, located in central China's Hunan Province. Seeing the advanced high-tech equipment, he was deeply impressed. He stated that this is the secret of China's success.
Zardari is on a week-long visit to China from April 25 to May 1. His first stop is Hunan Province, and the second is Hainan Province in southern China.
When shown driverless counterbalanced forklifts at Sany Heavy Industry, the president asked: "Why weren't you invited to Pakistan?"
In his words, the Chinese should come there and build there. Pakistan is close to Iran and many other places. They have water there — exactly the place he has in mind. And they have a position where they could even create their own industrial group.
The president sincerely praised China's high-tech equipment and industrial innovation, repeating that this is the secret of the country's success.
In Changsha, he also visited Hunan Tea Group to explore possibilities for Pakistan-China cooperation in agricultural processing and value addition. Zardari studied the supply chain mechanism and invited the Chinese company to share its experience in tea cultivation and export with Pakistan.
This year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Pakistan.
