Artificial intelligence-generated content (AIGC) has come under the spotlight at the 16th Beijing International Film Festival (BJIFF) running from April 16 to 25.

As the world's first dedicated film festival unit focused on AI-driven collaborative visual creation, the AIGC Unit of the BJIFF has grown into a globally recognized platform for AI-enhanced filmmaking.

The AIGC Unit features three categories for feature films, short films and AI series, with nearly 3,000 works from 13 countries worldwide competing, showcasing the unique aesthetic understanding of young people with creative styles of animation.

Established at the 14th BJIFF, the AIGC Unit has become a vital link between AI technology and cinematic art. It continues to unlock the innovative potential of AI in the digital film and television industry, fostering cross-sector integration and advancement.
