The output of China's industrial robots was up 33.2 percent year on year in the first quarter of 2026, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology said at a press conference in Beijing on Tuesday.
"In the first quarter of 2026, the applications of artificial intelligence and other new technologies in electronics and consumer goods expanded faster, with ever richer end products like drones and AI glasses. The output of industrial robots and integrated circuits rose by 33.2 percent and 24.3 percent year on year, respectively," said Zhang Yunming, vice minister of industry and information technology.
