The largest outdoor ski resort in east China’s Anhui Province opened on Saturday in its capital city Hefei, drawing more than 2,000 ski-goers to enjoy the charming of winter sports.
Covering nearly 39,000 square meters, the Zhashan Ski Park features three conveyor belts and four ski runs for skiers at various levels and a special play area for children.
With a daily capacity of receiving 3,000 skiers, the ski resort has continuously improved its facilities and services to better meet the needs of skiers and enhance their experience.
"After experiencing the ski equipment here, I feel the ski boots, skis, and the entire environment are very new. The natural environment is also quite good. It will be very convenient for locals from Hefei to come skiing, as it's very close. The whole process is quick -- staff members will help skiers put on boots and teach skiers basic movements. It's very convenient and thoughtful," said Ding Shouqing, one of the skiers.
Collaborating with surrounding hot springs, homestays, and other popular scenic spots, local authorities have tried to create diversified consumption scenarios to boost the winter tourism industry.
