China's hydropower generation reached 1.13 trillion kilowatt-hours in the first ten months of this year, up by 1.6 percent year on year, according to the latest industry data.
According to the statistics from the China Electricity Council, by the end of October, the country's installed hydropower capacity had reached 444 million kilowatts, remaining the world's largest for 22 consecutive years.
During the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-2025), China has continued to optimize the allocation of hydropower resources, and the development of this sector entered a critical stage of high-quality transformation, making significant progress toward the green and low-carbon transformation of the country's energy landscape.
