The mainline track-laying was completed in the Xiong'an-Shangqiu section of the Beijing-Hong Kong high-speed railway (HSR) on Friday.
The track laying of the section officially kicked off on Sept. 1 this year.
With a designed speed of 350 km per hour, the 552-kilometer-long railway will connect Xiong'an in north China's Hebei Province and Shangqiu City in central China's Henan Province after completion.
