At an industry annual meeting held in Foshan, south China's Guangdong Province on Wednesday, participants highlighted a notable increase in China's market demand for green, smart, and user-friendly building materials and home furnishing products.
At the two-day event, organized by the China Building Material Circulation Association (CBMCA), Industry professionals said that this trend is propelled by consumers' aspirations for higher living standards and a series of supportive national policies.
"Smart products are highly popular among consumers. Since the start of this year, our retail and trade-in sales have grown rapidly, achieving a year-on-year sales growth rate in the double digits," said Lu Jinhui, vice president at Arrow Home Group.
At the same time, centered on market demands for constructing high-quality housing and developing senior-friendly products, industrial insiders are forging new avenues for systematic and large-scale growth. This progress is characterized by more human-centric design concepts, healthier and low-carbon living environments, as well as smarter and more convenient user experiences.
"For instance, the government provides a subsidy of 15 percent to 20 percent for energy-saving green products. At the same time, our own company also offers support funding at a rate of 15 percent to 20 percent for [product design and development]," said HEGII Group chairman Xie Weifan.
With the sustained release of policy dividends, green intelligence has become a core competitive edge for enterprises. The nationwide trade-in program, forming a synergistic effect with urban renewal and old neighborhood renovation projects, is unlocking substantial growth opportunities for the building materials and home furnishing industry.
"The rise of smart homes has brought great convenience, steering our entire industry toward greener, more environmentally friendly, safer, and smarter development," said Qin Zhanxue, president of CBMCA.
