Seminars on FTAAP and transport infrastructure, 60 business events, honorary guests from France and Italy, and the world’s first national-level supply chain expo
As reported by CCTV+, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) announced that the 2026 APEC China CEO Forum will be held in Beijing on June 21.
The event will feature an opening ceremony and three seminars. They will review key outcomes of the year: the APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC) statement on the Free Trade Area of the Asia-Pacific (FTAAP) and the statement on connectivity, as well as prepare policy proposals for the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting in Shenzhen in November.
Yang Mi, Director of the CCPIT General Office, noted: “The Asia-Pacific business community has issued a joint statement on progress toward the FTAAP and called for an update of the APEC transport infrastructure development plan based on the outcomes of the 2014 Beijing Summit. This demonstrates a common desire for stable and smooth production and supply chains, as well as for universally beneficial and inclusive economic globalization.”
The forum will be followed by the 4th China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) from June 22 to 26 in Beijing. According to CCPIT, the expo will feature more than 60 business exchange events. For the first time, representatives of foreign provinces will be honorary guests.
Liu Jiannan, Vice Chairman of CCPIT, said: “This year, 48 percent of foreign participants will come from Belt and Road partner countries. We will hold a Belt and Road trade and investment forum, as well as a roundtable on international chamber of commerce cooperation under the new land-sea trade corridor. We will also organize participant exchange events, a working meeting of the CISCE Participants Alliance, and a BRICS Women Leaders Forum.”
The expo will also feature national promotional sessions, bilateral economic and trade events, and cross-industry exchanges. This will facilitate the flow of resources along industrial and supply chains.
The honorary foreign guest provinces will be France’s Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region and Italy’s Liguria region. They will hold promotional and exchange events with Chinese honorary guest provinces.
The China International Supply Chain Expo is the world’s first national-level exhibition dedicated to supply chains. First held in 2023, it has helped build safer, more stable, more open and more inclusive global industrial and supply chains.
Beijing, June 21. The APEC Business Leaders Forum. Three seminars. A free trade area. Transport infrastructure. A day later — the 4th Supply Chain Expo. 60 events, 48 percent of participants from Belt and Road countries. France and Italy as honorary guests. China is not just talking about stable supply chains — it is building them. Since 2023. And inviting the whole world. The question is not how many countries will join. The question is how quickly the world will understand that supply chains are not logistics. They are security. And if you are not in them, you are out of the game. While others build barriers, China is weaving threads. And they are getting stronger.
