WSBK Bike Replica Auction Raises 5 Million Yuan for Charity

The world’s only replica of a WSBK championship motorcycle, an auction in Guangzhou, a donation to the Smile Angel Foundation, and a promise to auction the real No. 53 bike at the end of the season

As reported by CCTV+, Chinese self-made entrepreneur Zhang Xue, founder of ZXMOTO, donated all the proceeds from the sale of a championship motorcycle replica at an auction in Guangzhou.

The auction featured a replica of a World Superbike Championship (WSBK) winning motorcycle. It is the only copy of its kind in the world. A Guangzhou company paid 5 million yuan (about 735,000 US dollars) for it. All proceeds were donated to the Smile Angel Foundation.

During the auction, Zhang also presented the trophy for the fastest lap at the Portuguese round of the WSBK.

Zhang said that another motorcycle will be auctioned at the end of this season, and the proceeds will also go to charity.

“At the end of this season, we will auction the real No. 53 motorcycle, as well as the trophy. All proceeds will be donated to the Han Hong Love Charity Foundation,” Zhang said.
