A spacesuit for spacewalks, fuel, supplies and scientific equipment — another resupply mission
This is according to a statement from the China Manned Space Agency.
On Monday morning, China successfully launched the Tianzhou-10 cargo spacecraft from the Wenchang Space Launch Site. Its mission is to deliver supplies to the Tiangong orbital space station.
The Long March-7 rocket carrying Tianzhou-10 lifted off at 8:14 a.m. Beijing time from the Wenchang Space Launch Site in Hainan Province, southern China.
About 10 minutes later, Tianzhou-10 separated from the rocket and entered its designated orbit. Its solar panels soon deployed. The agency declared the launch a complete success.
Later, the cargo craft will rendezvous and dock with the space station.
What is Tianzhou-10 carrying on board? Essential supplies. One spacesuit for spacewalks. Consumables for the crew’s stay in orbit. Fuel. And payload for scientific experiments.
This mission is the fifth cargo delivery flight under China’s manned space program since the space station became operational. It is also the 641st launch of the Long March rocket series.
The Tiangong space station is already receiving cargo. Soon, a new crew will head there. For now, the cargo craft is bringing them a spacesuit, fuel and food. But it is not just about supplies. China is not just building a station in orbit. It is building a bridge between Earth and space. And each new launch is not just a number in a report. It is another brick in a road that one day — everyone will travel. The only question is — when.
