The International Maritime Organization (IMO) has approved Turkmenistan's accession to the International Convention on Civil Liability for Bunker Fuel Pollution Damage of 2001 (Bunker Convention, Bunker 2001).

Incumbent President Ilham Aliyev is in the lead in the early presidential elections of Azerbaijan with 93.9% of the vote, with deputy of parliament and self- nominated Zahid Oruj in second place with 1.8%.
