On the Day of Workers of Healthcare and Medical Industry in Turkmenistan, new healthcare facilities were opened. Among the most significant are the International Health and Rehabilitation Center with 400 beds and the International Scientific and Clinical Center of Physiology with 250 beds, inaugurated in Ashgabat on 9 October. The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, participated in the solemn ceremonies on this occasion.

On October 8, 2024, a ceremony was held at the Presidential Palace in Athens for the presentation of credentials by the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Italian Republic, T. Komekov, to the President of the Hellenic Republic, Katerina Sakellaropoulou, as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Hellenic Republic (with residence in Rome).

On October 17-18, the 37th meeting of the Advisory Council on Labor, Employment and Social Protection of the Population of the CIS member states will be held at the Yyldyz Hotel in Ashgabat.

From 1 January, Tajikistan will chair all the highest bodies of the Commonwealth. The co-chairs of the CIS in 2025 will be the Russian Federation and Turkmenistan, as the future chair, for which consent has already been received from Ashgabat. This was announced by CIS Secretary General Sergey Lebedev following the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth, as reported by TASS.

On October 8, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov participated in the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the CIS, which took place in Moscow at the Grand Kremlin Palace, chaired by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

In honor of the 33rd anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence, a meeting with representatives of the Turkmen diaspora was held at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the United States. During the meeting, important directions of the country's development were discussed, reflected in the decisions taken at the recent meeting of the Halk Maslahaty.

The next meeting of the CIS Heads of State Council will be held on October 8 in Moscow. The heads of state will exchange views on cooperation within the CIS and decide on the chairmanship of the Commonwealth in 2025.
